The Good, The Bad and The Balanced

A fun bike ride along the American River to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research
on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 from 7am-1pm

The Good, The Bad and The Balanced is a fundraising (and fun) bike ride, benefiting Ovarian Cancer Research for the UC Davis Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Division and the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In remembrance of Roberta J. Schneider and all those affected by Ovarian Cancer/Women's Cancer related issues, we ride to continue the search for a cure.

All donations and sign up fees will go to UC Davis / Roberta J. Schneider Trust for Women's Health Care.

$45 registration fee through June 30th
($55 July 1 - August 2
$75 on event day)

Riding Options:

  • 10 Miles (round trip to Sunrise and back)
  • 20 Miles (round trip to Hazel and back)
  • 38.5 Miles (round trip to Beals Point and back)

You can turn around at any point! Please note that helmets are mandatory at all times. Wristbands are mandatory and will be distributed on event day.

To make your morning ride memorable and your fundraising worthy you will be able to enjoy the following:

  • after bike ride appetizers and healthy finger foods provided by Bella Bru Café & Catering

Visors, t-shirts and jerseys can be picked up before event day at 2111 J Street on Thursday 7/31 from 10am-5pm, Friday 8/1 from 11am-4pm, or Saturday 8/2 from 7am-12pm. On event day they can be picked up at the event between 6am-8am.

  • Vehicle parking at William Pond Park is $5. To avoid a parking fee please feel free to ride a few additional miles by riding over to William Pond Park on your bike
  • Directions (if driving): From U.S. Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue northbound off-ramp. Turn right at Fair Oaks Blvd., then make another right on Arden Way. Arden Way will come to an end at the park’s entrance. To access the western entrance of the park, from the Watt Avenue off-ramp, take American River Drive east and turn right on Harrington Way
